Stimulation of Beneficial Flora
1. Selective metabolism

 

Confirmation of the bioselectivity of BIOECOLIA® towards cutaneous bacterial strains and competitive inhibition against pathogenic or undesirable bacterial growth.

2. Growth inhibition of cutaneous yeast

No growth of Malassezia furfur and Candida albicans (on Incubation (24h) of strains supplemented by 0.5% or 1% BIOECOLIA®)

3. Competitive inhibition


Stimulation of the bacterial growth of the beneficial flora to the detriment of undesirable flora.

Stimulation of Anti- Microbial defences

4. Stimulation of beta-defensines 2 & 3 by keratinocytes


At 0.75% BIOECOLIA® stimulates β- defensin 2 & 3 by +75% and +153% after 7 days
